How myedu.lk works

Learning on myedu.lk follows a simple rhythm: learn a little, practise straight away, see your progress, and come back tomorrow.

1. Find your starting point

Take the optional placement check. It asks short grammar, vocabulary and reading questions and suggests a course to start with. You can also skip it and choose any course yourself — the suggestion is guidance, not a rule.

2. Learn in short lessons

Courses are divided into units, and units into short lessons you can finish in one sitting. Each lesson has one clear goal and may use:

short explanations with examples
vocabulary cards
dialogues and reading passages
audio with transcripts, and video with captions

3. Practise and get feedback

After each explanation you practise with activities such as multiple choice, matching, putting words in order, filling in blanks, listening and dictation. Your answers are checked automatically and you see straight away what was right, with a short explanation of why.

If something goes wrong, read the explanation and try the exercise again where retries are allowed.

4. Keep your place and see your progress

Your progress is saved as you go, so you can stop on your phone and continue on a computer. Your dashboard shows:

the next lesson to take
the lessons and units you have completed
your daily streak — the days on which you actually learned, not just logged in
XP and badges that celebrate your effort

XP and badges reward taking part. They are not a measure of your English level.

5. Quizzes, tests and certificates

Units can end with a short quiz, and courses with a final test. When you finish every required lesson and pass the required tests, you receive a certificate of completion with a code that anyone can check online.

A certificate of completion shows that you finished a myedu.lk course. It is not an independent certification of your English proficiency.
